Arena, the global leader in swimwear and swimming equipment, proudly announces the success of its first marine cleanup mission of the year, held on Saturday, May 24, in Krnica, Croatia. This important event marks the continuation of Arena’s dedicated collaboration with the Healthy Seas foundation, a renowned organization committed to protecting the world’s oceans and seas through cleanup activities, education, and the prevention of marine litter.
The mission was led by well-known open water swimmer and Arena ambassador, Andy Donaldson.
This partnership carries special significance, as the recovered nylon fishing nets, along with other nylon waste, are transformed into ECONYL® – a high-quality, 100% regenerated nylon yarn. This innovative material is then used in the production of Arena’s high-performance swimsuits, including the current ST NEXT line.
By supporting Healthy Seas, Arena directly contributes to the circular economy, turning ocean waste into sustainable swimsuits for competitive swimming.
